The town of Chamba is situated at a distance of 31 km from Dhanaulti. Since it is situated at an altitude of 1676 m, you will get a panoramic view of the Bhagirathi River and the peaks of Himalaya.Once you reach Chamba, you will notice roads that pass through beautiful mountain ranges and various fruit orchards.
Located at a distance of 9 km from Dhanaulti, Surkanda Devi Temple is situated on top of the Surkanda hillat an altitude of 3050m. In June, during Ganga Dusshera, a fair is organized at the Surkanda Devi Templethat attracts a large number of people from neighboring areas and around the country.
New Tehri is the newly constructed township built at the convergence of Bhilangana and Bhagirathi rivers. From this place, one can easily spot the huge Tehri Dam. The New Tehri is considered as one of the greatest achievements of Asia after the old Tehri Dam was submerged.

Jolly Grant Airport is the closest airport to Dhanaulti which is 82 km away from the city. After you get out of the airport, you can hire a taxi or travel to Dehradun and take a direct bus from there.
From Railway Station
The Dhanaulti Railway Station is located 66 km away from the hill station. Once you disembark at the station you could hire a taxi or board a bus to take you to Dhanaulti.
From Bus Stand
Dhanaulti is located at a distance of 325 km from Delhi which is about 8-9 hourdrive from the capital. If you are coming from Mussoorie, it is just 25 km by road. There are regular buses that ply from Delhi and its neighboring cities, which will take you to Dhanaulti.
